Compton Dominguez High’s Jordan Hamilton says he’s going to play for Texas
He is considered one of the top players in the nation.
Jordan Hamilton has been courted by seemingly every powerhouse college basketball program in the nation for quite sometime now, and it appears as if Texas might have ended up as the winner in the sweepstakes for the talented 6-foot-7 senior from Compton Dominguez.
On Thursday evening, Hamilton announced on ESPNU that he orally committed to the Longhorns despite having scholarship offers from numerous other schools, including Connecticut, Kansas and USC.
Hamilton is widely considered one of the top players in the country. And his decision to commit to Texas bolsters an already deep class for the Longhorns that includes Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep’s Avery Bradley and Shawn Williams from Duncanville (Texas).
