Man arrested in connection with slaying
Police say they're not sure how the man, 31, is connected to the Huntington Beach woman who was found dead at the Starlight Inn motel Friday night.
A 31-year-old man was arrested today in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found inside a Huntington Beach motel Friday night, police said.
Investigators said it is not clear how the man was connected to the victim or what the victim was doing at the motel. The woman was in her early 30s and was a resident of Huntington Beach, said Huntington Beach Police Lt. Craig Bryant.
Police responded to the Starlight Inn, 18382 Beach Blvd, about 4:30 p.m. after receiving a call about a woman who was running around the motel screaming.
"Once at the scene, police discovered a dead woman," Bryant said.
