Firefighters wrestle with Santa Clarita, Porter Ranch fires

Firefighters were dealing with two fires that broke out this morning, one in Santa Clarita, the other in Porter Ranch.
Los Angeles firefighters were using water-dropping aircraft to prevent the fire from spreading in Porter Ranch, near the 118 Freeway and Rinaldi Street.
A larger fire was burning near the 14 Freeway and Via Princessa. Officials said some structures were burning there.
