Lawyers at the murder retrial of legendary music producer Phil Spector selected a jury today of seven men and five women.
Opening statements are scheduled for Wednesday. Spector, 68, is accused in the 2003 fatal shooting of actress Lana Clarkson.
The panel seated includes a research scientist, an Army veteran and a social worker once assigned to a psychiatric ward.
Spector's defense claims Clarkson, 40, was depressed and shot herself in the foyer of his Alhambra mansion. Prosecutors contend Spector killed the actress after she rebuffed his romantic advances.
A five-month trial ended in a jury deadlock last year.
