Big-rig truck kills pedestrian in downtown L.A.
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a big-rig truck today in downtown Los Angeles, authorities said.
The accident happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. in 1600 block of South Santa Fe Avenue, said d’Lisa Davies, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The pedestrian, described as a 45-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, she said. No other details were available.
