September 08, 2008|From Times Wire Reports

Massachusetts Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, who is being treated for brain cancer, will not be on Capitol Hill when Congress returns from its summer break this week. He plans to work from home and return to the Senate in January.

A Kennedy aide said the lawmaker's doctors were pleased with his progress but wanted him to continue working from his Hyannis Port home through the fall.
