Angels to open 2009 season at home against Oakland
The interleague schedule includes six games with the Dodgers.
The Angels will open next season at home against Oakland, and after a three-game series against the A's, the Boston Red Sox will visit Anaheim for a three-game series, according to the 2009 master schedule, which Major League Baseball released today.
The interleague schedule will feature 18 games against National League West teams, including three at Dodger Stadium May 22-24 and three against the Dodgers in Angel Stadium June 19-21.
The Angels will travel to San Francisco (June 15-17) and Arizona (June 26-28) for interleague series and will play host to San Diego (June 12-14) and Colorado (June 22-24).
The team won't have to wait long to play in the new Yankee Stadium, which is scheduled to open in 2009; the Angels travel to New York for a four-game series April 30-May 3.
