Anti-Iran rally drops Palin

September 19, 2008|From Times Wire Reports

Organizers of an anti-Iran rally dropped Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin from the event, days after Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton pulled out.

The National Coalition to Stop Iran Now said it will stage a rally without "American political personalities."

Several American Jewish organizations will rally in New York City against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. They had announced the event would feature Clinton and Palin, but Clinton withdrew when she learned from reporters that Palin had been invited too.
