at Tampa Bay 11, Minnesota 1: Carlos Pena homered -- with help from a replay reversal. Pena's fourth-inning homer came on the first reversal produced by baseball's instant replay system. Pena's drive to right appeared to be touched by a fan before bouncing off the top of the fence. First base umpire Mike DiMuro signaled interference but reversed the call after looking at the replay.

Chicago 9, at Kansas City 4: Dewayne Wise homered twice for the White Sox.

at New York 3, Baltimore 2: Center fielder Brett Gardner robbed Luke Scott with a terrific grab and doubled in a run for the Yankees.

at Cleveland 6, Detroit 5: Jamey Carroll hit a game-winning single with one out in the ninth inning.

at Oakland 2, Seattle 0: Travis Buck homered and Dana Eveland pitched seven strong innings for the A's.

Boston 4, at Toronto 3: Jason Varitek drove in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning.
