Boston 3, at Toronto 0: David Ortiz hit a two-run home run, Daisuke Matsuzaka (18-2) remained unbeaten on the road and the Red Sox clinched at least a tie for the American League wild card.

Minnesota 4, at Tampa Bay 1: Francisco Liriano (6-3) gave up one run over seven innings and the Twins stayed 2 1/2 games behind AL Central-leading Chicago. The Twins and the White Sox open a three-game series Tuesday in Minneapolis.

Chicago 3, at Kansas City 0: John Danks and two relievers combined on a four-hitter and Paul Konerko hit a two-run home run. Danks (11-8), who retired 11 in a row during one stretch, left after seven-plus innings.

at Oakland 5, Seattle 3: Jack Cust hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning and the Athletics completed a sweep of the three-game series.

at Cleveland 10, Detroit 5: Ryan Garko was four for four with five runs batted in and rookie left-hander Scott Lewis stayed undefeated in three decisions.

at New York 7, Baltimore 3: Johnny Damon and Jose Molina hit home runs to back Andy Pettitte (14-14) in Yankee Stadium's final game. There was a 65-minute pregame ceremony. The announced attendance was the total in the stadium's history: 151,959,005.

Angels 7, at Texas 3: John Lackey (12-4) gave up two hits and struck out a career-high 12 in six shutout innings to lead the Angels.
