Jewelry store robbed in Beverly Hills

Several armed men entered a store after midnight and forced someone inside to open two safes, police say. The men remain at large.

Authorities are searching for several armed bandits who raided a Beverly Hills jewelry store early this morning, police said.

The robbery took place at 12:30 a.m. in the 200 block of South Beverly Drive, not far from Rodeo Drive. It is not clear how much the men escaped with, said Sgt. Jay Kim of the Beverly Hills Police Department.

The robbers entered the jewelry store and approached a man in the shop. They forced him to open two safes filled with jewelry and watches, police said.

The men fled before police arrived. The victim was shaken but not hurt.
