Update: Chivas USA is tied on points with the Rapids, but Chivas has played two fewer games and is therefore in fourth place in the Western Conference. Chivas has lost four league games in a row and has slipped from holding the first playoff spot to holding the eighth and final one. Injuries have decimated the team. Six players are out tonight and another six are listed as either questionable or probable. Further weakening the side, midfielder Paulo Nagamura and defender Carey Talley are serving one-game suspensions for yellow card accumulation.
