Record vs. Revolution: 1-0-0.

Update: The Galaxy is in third place in the Western Conference and in fifth place overall in the league, well-positioned for the playoffs with 11 regular-season games remaining. The Galaxy has lost only three matches this season, tied for the league-low with Columbus and Chicago. Revolution Coach Steve Nicol is serving a one-game suspension for criticizing MLS officiating, and New England, unbeaten in its last four games, will be led by assistant coach and former England international Paul Mariner. The Galaxy shut out the Revolution, 1-0, on July 4.
