Texas 7, at New York 2: Ian Kinsler homered twice, the Texas bullpen pitched shutout ball and the Rangers became the first visitors to win a series at Yankee Stadium since mid-June.

Kansas City 8, at Seattle 4: Yuniesky Betancourt hit one of the Royals' four home runs in his return to Seattle and Kansas City powered past the Mariners. Brayan Pena, Alberto Callaspo and David DeJesus also homered for the Royals.

Cleveland 5, at Baltimore 4: Andy Marte, the No. 9 hitter in the lineup, hit a two-run homer on a 3-and-2 pitch from Jim Johnson with two out in the ninth inning, giving the Indians a victory over the Orioles.

Oakland 2, at Angels 0: Oakland rookie Trevor Cahill and two relievers combined on a three-hitter, and Ryan Sweeney came within a double of hitting for the cycle.
