Energy-efficient lights: An article in Saturday's Section A about Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's trip to the Copenhagen climate summit said that Los Angeles is installing energy-efficient LED bulbs in 14,000 city streetlights. It should have said 140,000.

Madoff claims: A news brief Friday in Business about the rejection of claims in the Bernard Madoff scheme said that the 1,600 people whose claims have been approved had losses totaling $4.69 million. The correct figure is $4.69 billion.

Thomas Hoving obituary: In Friday's Section A, the obituary of Metropolitan Museum of Art Director Thomas Hoving said "investment banker Robert Lehman gave the museum $7 million to re-create his New York apartment, including his art collection, inside the museum." The museum paid $7.1 million to construct a wing for the donated collection, based on the Lehman family home.

Chile's election: An article in Monday's Section A about the presidential election in Chile said three communists were elected to Congress for the first time since Salvador Allende was elected in 1973. Allende was elected in 1970.

'Too Much Money': In Monday's Calendar, a book review of "Too Much Money" by Dominick Dunne said the inspiration for the character "Adele Harcourt, the Manhattan doyenne who lives past 100, is Mary Astor." It should have said Brooke Astor.

Movie awards: An article in Monday's Calendar about the Los Angeles Film Critics Assn. and American Film Institute awards said "The Hurt Locker" is about a "bomb diffusion unit" in Iraq. The unit defuses bombs.
