Update: Left winger Ryan Smyth, out because of a rib injury since Nov. 16, is scheduled to return. The Kings have scored only five goals in losing two of their last three games. Defenseman Jack Johnson (sore foot), forward Brandon Segal (knee) and right wing Wayne Simmonds (knee surgery) are expected to be available, but center Jarret Stoll (groin) and defenseman Randy Jones (headaches and neck pain) won't play. Coyotes' goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov, among the NHL leaders with a 2.02 goals-against average and .926 save percentage, was chosen for the Russian Olympic hockey team for the Vancouver Games.
