SUV driver dies after crash on I-10

A woman driving an SUV died Saturday after her vehicle crashed into the wall on the right shoulder of the eastbound 10 Freeway in Pomona, according to California Highway Patrol Officer David Porter.

The accident occurred about 9:30 a.m. just east of the Fairplex Drive exit. Caltrans personnel found the woman unconscious in her vehicle.

Porter said the cause of the crash was under investigation. Jerry McKibben, an investigator with the Los Angeles County coroner's office, said he did not yet know the woman's name or age.
