Clippers visit the Portland Trail Blazers

A preview of Sunday's game between the Clippers and Trail Blazers.

February 22, 2009|Lisa Dillman

Time: 3 p.m.

On the air: TV: Prime Ticket; Radio: 710.

Where: Rose Garden.

Records: Clippers 13-42, Trail Blazers 34-20.

Record vs. Trail Blazers: 1-1.

Update: Looks as if the plan is to go small again. Kidding aside, it is by necessity. Zach Randolph is serving the second game of his two-game suspension, and three other big men are still out: Marcus Camby (ear infection), Brian Skinner (leg injury) and Chris Kaman with the ever-lingering strained right arch. So what happened when the Clippers were without their bigs for most of the last two games, both against the Suns? They gave up a whopping 282 points. The potential problems continue. Al Thornton (sore right foot) will be a game-time decision. Point guard Baron Davis, who had an ingrown toenail and cyst in his big right toe removed, will also be a game-time decision.
