AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Kevin Garnett scored 22 points, Paul Pierce had 20 and Ray Allen had 14, leading the Celtics to an 86-78 victory over the Pistons on Friday night for their 10th win in a row.
Boston jumped out to a 12-4 lead and then scored eight of the first nine points after halftime. The Celtics have won 10 straight for the second time this season, accomplishing a feat the franchise hadn't since the 1985-86 season when it went on to win one of its 17 NBA titles. The Celtics had a franchise-record 19-game winning streak early in the season.
