Mets win after Francisco Rodriguez blows save

New York 9, at Pittsburgh 8 (10): Ryan Church singled in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning for the Mets, who overcame a five-run deficit and then wasted a ninth-inning lead. Adam LaRoche hit a tying two-run homer in the ninth against Francisco Rodriguez, who is now 21 for 24 in save chances.

at Chicago 9, Milwaukee 5: Derrek Lee hit two home runs, including a grand slam, and knocked in seven runs.

at Cincinnati 3, Arizona 2 (10): Joey Votto singled with the bases loaded and two out in the 10th to give the Reds the victory. The Diamondbacks lost for the 10th time in 12 games.

at Atlanta 5, Philadelphia 2: Garret Anderson hit a two-run homer to cap a three-run eighth inning for the Braves.

at St. Louis 5, San Francisco 2: Todd Wellemeyer rebounded from his shortest outing of the season to go 7 1/3 solid innings, and Barry Zito threw 26 pitches before recording an out.
