Phillies complete sweep of Mets, 2-0

at Philadelphia 2, New York 0: Joe Blanton pitched four-hit ball for 7 1/3 innings and Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley homered off of Johan Santana, helping the Phillies complete a three-game sweep of their NL East rival. The defending World Series champions pushed the third-place Mets four games back in the NL East, handing them their eighth loss in 11 games.

Houston 7, at San Francisco 1: Roy Oswalt (5-4) pitched eight solid innings for the Astros. Giants starter Randy Johnson (8-6) left in the fourth inning because of a left shoulder strain. He suffered the injury during a third-inning plate appearance and came out after committing a throwing error in the top of the fourth.

Arizona 4, at Colorado 3: Mark Reynolds hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning and Felipe Lopez broke a 3-3 tie with an RBI single in the seventh for the Diamondbacks.

at Washington 5, Atlanta 3: Scott Olsen pitched into the ninth inning, newly acquired Nyjer Morgan had three hits and the Nationals won their second straight.

St. Louis 10, at Cincinnati 1: Colby Rasmus' homer started an eight-run onslaught against slumping Reds right-hander Bronson Arroyo, and the Cardinals' Chris Carpenter gave up a run and five hits in seven innings.

at Florida 5, Pittsburgh 0: Ricky Nolasco struck out 12 in eight innings to win his fourth consecutive start. The victory kept Florida one game behind first-place Philadelphia in the NL East. The Pirates have lost six of eight.

Dodgers 7, at San Diego 6 (13 innings): James Loney's homer won it four innings after closer Jonathan Broxton blew a four-run lead in the ninth.
