Time: Noon.

On the air: None.

Where: Home Depot Center.

Records: Sol 11-1-4; Athletica 6-5-2.

Record vs. Athletica: 2-0-1.

Update: With a victory over St. Louis, the Sol can clinch first place in Women's Professional Soccer and thereby advance directly to the league's Aug. 22 championship match at the Home Depot Center. Sol Coach Abner Rogers will have to shuffle his defense after Christie Shaner suffered a broken right leg in a collision with U.S. national team striker Abby Wambach in a 1-0 win over the Washington Freedom on Sunday. Shaner, 24, was playing in her first game for Los Angeles after being acquired in a trade with Sky Blue FC of New Jersey. St. Louis is led offensively by England national team forward Eniola Aluko, who has four goals and two assists. If second-place St. Louis reaches the playoffs, as expected, Aluko is one of several WPS players, including the Sol's French winger, Camille Abily, who would miss the playoffs because they clash with the European Women's Championship in Finland.
