An autopsy was pending Sunday to determine the cause of death of a 45-year-old man whose body was found inside a foreclosed home, authorities said.

The body was discovered Saturday night in the 8900 block of Kittyhawk Avenue, said Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the home, she said.

Details about how the body was discovered were not immediately available.

Police would not confirm a published report that said that said a real estate agent showing the house to a potential buyer discovered the body.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is listed for sale by Modern Realty Co.

A company representative could not be reached for comment.
