DENVER — Miguel Montero singled and scored the tying run in the seventh inning and then hit a two-run home run in the eighth, lifting the Arizona Diamondbacks past the Colorado Rockies, 6-5, Tuesday night.

Second-place Colorado, which had won two in a row and seven of 10, fell nine games behind the Dodgers in the NL West.

Arizona erased 3-0 and 4-1 deficits. Mark Reynolds began the decisive rally with a one-out single off reliever Juan Rincon (1-1). Montero followed with a drive over the center-field fence for his eighth homer and a 6-4 lead.

Ryan Spilborghs' pinch-hit RBI triple made it 6-5 in the eighth, but Chad Qualls got four out for his 18th save.
