Landry Fields scored 20 points and Stanford defeated No. 21 Arizona State, 74-64, on Thursday night at Tempe, Ariz., the Sun Devils' third consecutive loss.

Anthony Goods scored 15 points, Lawrence Hill had 13 and Kenny Brown had 12 for the Cardinal (17-11, 6-11 Pac-10), which avenged a 30-point loss to Arizona State in January.

James Harden scored 22 points and Jeff Pendergraph had 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Sun Devils (21-8, 10-7), who shot 36%.

California 83, Arizona 77 -- Jerome Randle made eight of 11 three-pointers for a career-high 31 points and the Golden Bears spoiled a night honoring former Wildcats coach Lute Olson at Tucson.

The Bears (22-8, 11-6 Pac-10) made a season-high 16 three-pointers to hand the Wildcats a loss that severely damaged their hopes for a 25th consecutive NCAA tournament berth.

Chase Budinger scored a season-high 28 and Jordan Hill 24 for Arizona (18-12, 8-9) in the Wildcats' first loss at home to Cal since 1995.
