Penelope is a spoiled princess. For her birthday she wants a pig. Her parents don't approve, but she gets it anyway. The previous owner of the pig is a fellow named Johnny Skinner. He calls his pig Lollipop. Penelope tells Lollipop to sit -- but Lollipop doesn't want to.
Penelope wants to bring the pig into the castle. So Johnny trains Lollipop to be castle-trained. And he trains Princess Penelope to be nicer!
The Queen is angry and she says, "If the pig comes in, I will go out!"

In 1896 Korea, there is a 7-year-old girl named Induk Pahk. One day, Induk's mom hires a scholar to teach her the Chinese alphabet. Induk's mom is so proud because Induk learns just like a boy. So her mom finds a school for Induk to attend. There are no schools for girls!
She disguises her as a boy and changes her name to Imduk so she can attend the all-boy village school. When Induk goes to school she has many friends and is a great learner.
You have to read this book if you want to find out what happens to Induk later in life. Hint: She goes to jail for doing something good and sort of bad.
