Parking pits city against panel

November 02, 2009

Re "Limits on parking seem favored," Oct. 29

The city attorney wants to pull his client out of the line of fire as a defendant in a disgruntled Venice group's suit for overnight parking districts.

The city attorney is also taking the opportunity to argue that his client should have more power and the Coastal Commission less. This is news?

If the court rules in the city's favor, that will be news.
