Suns improve to 6-1 with win over Wizards

Phoenix's 102-90 victory is its sixth in a row over Washington, and fifth straight at the Verizon Center.

Phoenix 102, at Washington 90: Jason Richardson scored 22 points, Steve Nash had 17 assists, and the Suns maintained their dominance of the Wizards, whom they defeated for the sixth consecutive time, including five in a row at the Verizon Center. Phoenix improved to 6-1, matching the best seven-game start in franchise history. Washington has lost four straight.

at Detroit 88, Philadelphia 81: Ben Gordon scored 23 points and Ben Wallace added 16 rebounds for the Pistons, who held the 76ers without a field goal the final six minutes. Andre Iguodala led Philadelphia with 24 points.

at Portland 116, Minnesota 93: Andre Miller scored 21 points, and LaMarcus Aldridge and Travis Outlaw each had 19 as the Trail Blazers built a 62-45 halftime lead and cruised to victory. Portland (4-3) has won two straight games and trails first-place Denver by a game in the Northwest Division.

at Sacramento 120, Golden State 107: Rookie Tyreke Evans scored 18 of his 23 points in the second quarter and the Kings won back-to-back games for the first time in a year. Beno Udrih added 20 points and six assists for the Kings, who last won consecutive games on Nov. 7 and 9, 2008.

at Lakers 104, New Orleans 88: Injured big men Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol weren't missed, as DJ Mbenga had 10 points and 12 rebounds and L.A.'s reserves totaled 46 points, led by Shannon Brown's 15, in an easy win over the struggling Hornets.
