Update: Kobe Bryant scored 61 points and broke a 25-year-old record when the Lakers played the Knicks last February in New York. Bryant set the record for most points in a game at Madison Square Garden, which was held by former Knicks forward Bernard King. The Knicks are again pliant on defense, allowing 107.9 points a game, second-worst in the league this season.
