For The Record

October 06, 2009

Cruise lines: An article in the Sept. 27 Travel section on the debut of various luxury cruise ships incorrectly reported that the Celebrity Equinox's inaugural cruise would be in April. That ship is already in service. The story should have said the Celebrity Eclipse, a 2,850-passenger, 122,000-ton vessel, would begin duty April 29 with a four-night Southampton, England, round-trip cruise to Cork, Ireland. The Eclipse, a sister ship to the Equinox, is the second vessel in Celebrity's Solstice class, which was christened in July.

Travel correction: In Tuesday's For the Record, a correction of a Sept. 27 Travel article about the debut of various luxury cruise ships introduced a new error. The Eclipse is the third ship, not the second, in Celebrity cruise line's Solstice class.
