He has his lowest passing total of the season with 334 yards in a 44-16 win.

No. 23 Houston 44, at Tulane 16: Case Keenum's lowest passing total of the season was still pretty good, and more than enough to help the Cougars (5-1, 1-1) defeat the Green Wave (2-4, 0-3) in a Conference USA game. Keenum was 30 of 43 for 334 yards and two touchdowns.

In other games involving Conference USA teams: Dwayne Harris returned a kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown and added two touchdown catches to help host East Carolina (4-3, 3-1) to a 49-13 win over Rice (0-7, 0-3). . . . Tracey Lampley had a 50-yard punt return in the third quarter to key a big second half to lead host Southern Mississippi (4-3, 2-1) to a 36-16 win over Memphis (2-5, 1-3). . . . Ricky Dobbs and Vince Murray each ran for two touchdowns, Joe Buckley kicked a 24-yard field goal in overtime and Navy (5-2) won its fourth straight game with a 38-35 win over Southern Methodist (3-3).

at Buffalo 21, Akron 17: Mario Henry's one-yard touchdown with 5:59 left gave the Bulls (3-4, 2-1) a MAC victory over the Zips (1-5, 0-3).

at Ohio 28, Miami (Ohio) 7: Donte Harden rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bobcats (5-2, 3-0) over the RedHawks (0-7, 0-3) in a MAC game.

at Toledo 20, Northern Illinois 19: Barry Church blocked a field goal in the final seconds to lift the Rockets (4-3, 2-1) over the Huskies (3-3, 1-1) in a MAC game.
