October 25, 2009|Associated Press

A former high school teacher in Orange County is free on $50,000 bond and faces charges of having sex with a student and vandalizing his car.

Naomi Perez, 33, of Brea will be arraigned Monday on three felony counts of sex-related crimes and a misdemeanor charge of vandalism.

The alleged victim is now 18. The relationship was discovered after the youth reported that his car was vandalized.

Perez was fired from Saddleback High on Oct. 13. If convicted, she faces up to four years and four months in prison.
