Update: Columbus started the season with a franchise-best record of 5-1-0. But the Blue Jackets lost two consecutive road games before beating the Ducks on Saturday. Columbus entered that contest third in the league at killing penalties, and the Kings were 28th out of 30 teams before their game Saturday against Phoenix. Entering that game, the Kings had scored nine goals in their last two games.
