Starbucks closing 30 fewer stores

Starbucks Corp. is removing 30 U.S. stores from a list of locations it planned to close because sales and profits have improved.

The Seattle-based coffee chain had planned to close about 800 U.S. stores and about 160 international cafes in an effort to save $550 million in costs.
