Motorola unveils Android phone

Struggling phone maker Motorola Inc. has unveiled its first device using Google's Android operating system, banking on it to power networking features.

The Cliq has a touch screen, "Qwerty" keyboard and five-megapixel camera. Its software will help users aggregate contact information from social networks and e-mail accounts. Application "widgets" show such information as friends' Facebook status updates.

The device will be available from wireless carrier T-Mobile in time for the holiday season.
