Quick Takes

Maybe KTLA saw enough

September 15, 2009|Greg Braxton

KTLA-TV Channel 5 newcaster Lu Parker's bikini picture has been removed from her website.

The revealing photo of Parker, who is dating Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villariagosa, had been prominently featured on luparker.com, which was linked to KTLA's website. But over the weekend, the photo was replaced by a larger picture of Parker in a leopard-print dress.

The removal of the bikini photo came just a few days after KTLA said that Parker, who had been a weekend anchor, would strictly be a general assignment reporter. Station executives said Parker's reassignment was not connected to her relationship with Villaraigosa.

Parker and station executives could not be reached for comment. KTLA is owned by the Tribune Co., which also owns The Times.
