SMART LIST

'Fame's' song and dance

Also: 'Wallace & Gromit' and 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'

Will you talk about: "Fame"?

I get giddy just watching the commercials. Give me abnormally talented singing, dancing kids any day. From the looks of the trailer, this big-screen reboot has a 50-50 shot of giving me exactly what I crave. It could be plain bad or good-bad, a la the earnest 2000 dance film "Center Stage," a classic on many a DVD shelf. (Friday)

Grab some Wensleydale! It's time to talk about: "Wallace & Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death"

A new Wallace & Gromit adventure on DVD? Christmas comes early! In "A Matter of Loaf and Death," the fourth short from Nick Park revolving around the cheese enthusiast and his exasperated canine, Wallace decides to make some dough by making . . . dough! Armed, of course, with a batch of ovens and an army of robotic kneading arms. (Tuesday)

Finally, we can go back to talking about: "Curb Your Enthusiasm"

It's been awhile, but tonight's Season 7 premiere has been well worth the wait. Why, you ask? Just a little something I like to call the continuation of "Laretta." Oh yes, there will be resolution to the romance between Larry and Loretta. There's also something about a "Seinfeld" reunion that might pique your interest. (Today)

You could talk about: "The Boys Are Back"

Will sentimental suit Clive Owen? We're about to find out. He stars in the true story of a grieving man raising his two sons alone after his second wife passes away. (Friday)

Yes, you should talk about the return of: "Dollhouse"

Give you a reason? How about four. "Epitaph One" was fantastic -- how can you not want to watch more? Topher is given a serious dramatic moment, and it works. Amy Acker makes you want to cry in a good way. And Jamie Bamber, in all his British accented glory, guest stars. (Bonus: His character comes to blows with his old "Battlestar Galactica" costar Tahmoh Penikett. Muscles. Yay!) (Friday)
