Two men were killed and four people were wounded in separate shootings over the weekend, police said.

Brent Lavorne Moore, 18, was killed about 9:40 p.m. Saturday in Westlake near West 2nd and Witmer streets, coroner's officials and police said. Moore was killed when two men walked up and shot him multiple times before fleeing, said LAPD Sgt. Michael Mabie.

In a separate incident, three men were injured in a gang-related shooting Sunday near a Westlake club, Mabie said. They were standing in front of the Pan American restaurant and club about 1:45 a.m. when a gunman in a passing car began shooting at them, he said.

Security guards returned fire and the vehicle sped away, he said.

In another incident, a man was shot and killed in the 6700 block of Bollenbacher Drive in Pico Rivera about 2:10 a.m. Sunday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. He has not been identified.

Meanwhile, a Los Angeles police officer shot and wounded a man after he pointed a gun at the officer in the 200 block of South Fresno Street in Boyle Heights about 11:30 a.m. Sunday, police said. The man was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
