Big East: No. 14 Cincinnati holds on to defeat Fresno State, 28-20

at No. 14 Cincinnati 28, Fresno State 20: Tony Pike threw three touchdown passes in a quick-strike offense that was hardly on the field Saturday, and the Bearcats (4-0) held on for a victory over a Bulldogs team that ran all over them for most of the game. One big gamble made the Bulldogs (1-3) come up empty.

at Utah 30, Louisville 14: Terrance Cain threw for two touchdowns and Eddie Wide ran for 129 yards to help the Utes (3-1) cruise to a win over the Cardinals (1-2).

at Connecticut 52, Rhode Island 10: Cody Endres, making a bid to keep the starting quarterback job, threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns as the Huskies (3-1) beat the Rams (1-2).

at Syracuse 41, Maine 24: Delone Carter scored four touchdowns and the Orange overcame Maine's bag of tricks to beat the Black Bears (2-2).It was the second straight win for the Orange (2-2), and it put the team at .500 for the first time in three years.
