Dark chocolate, roses can be even better after Valentine’s Day

They’re good for your skin and more, if you know how to use them.

There are quite a few rose products on the market. REN — a beauty company that doesn't use any petrochemicals, sulfates, parabens, silicones, glycols, phthalates, synthetic fragrances or colors in its products — has a Moroccan Rose line that includes body wash, scrub, cream and oil that all smell and feel divine (Barneys.com). The homeopathic pharmacy Korres has an innovative Wild Rose line that includes Wild Rose Brightening Serum and Mask as well as bath products and even rose-infused makeup products (Sephora.com). Jurlique's Rosewater products include the refreshing cult favorite Balancing Mist (up to 8,000 petals in every bottle) and the Rose Hand Crème (Jurlique.com). And there is even male-friendly Art of Shaving Hydrosol Rose Water (TheArtofShaving.com).

So enjoy your leftover Valentine's Day dark chocolate guilt-free, and, though it may be time to throw the roses away, let the bouquet inspire you to investigate the flower's charms the next time you're looking for a new skin product.
