Record vs. Red Wings: 0-1.

Update: Defenseman Randy Jones was placed on injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 16 because of an upper-body injury and Alec Martinez was recalled from Manchester. Martinez will play tonight. Defenseman Matt Greene left practice early Wednesday after his back locked up and he's questionable tonight. This will begin a season-long homestand for the Kings. Detroit has been battered by injuries but is clinging to ninth in the West.
