Up next for Lakers: Friday at Portland

Lakers have lost eight games in a row at the Rose Garden.

January 08, 2010

When: 7.

Where: Rose Garden.

On the air: TV: Ch. 9; Radio: 710, 1330.

Records: Lakers 28-7, Trail Blazers 22-15.

Record vs. Trail Blazers (2008-09): 2-2.

Update: The Lakers have cited many reasons for why they have lost eight consecutive games in Portland. They have joked that it's because of the weather -- and it was expected to rain Thursday when the Lakers arrived. The Lakers even switched hotels again in the city. Lakers Coach Phil Jackson was asked if anything has helped. "Obviously not," he said. A lot has to do with how well Portland plays at home, where the Trail Blazers are 13-6 this season. LaMarcus Aldridge (left ankle) didn't practice but is listed as probable. Steve Blake (pneumonia) practiced but is listed as doubtful for tonight's game.
