Joe Mantell obituary: The obituary of actor Joe Mantell in the Oct. 2 LATExtra section said that his "Chinatown" character "spoke the film's famous last line: 'Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown.' " It was not the last line of the movie.
Baseball milestones: In the Oct. 7 Sports section, a chart comparing Roy Halladay's no-hitter for the Philadelphia Phillies against the Cincinnati Reds in Game 1 of the National League Division Series and Don Larsen's perfect game for the New York Yankees in the 1956 World Series against the Brooklyn Dodgers said Halladay's no-hitter happened Oct. 7. It was Oct. 6.
