The Dallas Cowboys were recently voted America's favorite pro football team. With their 1-3 record, they're certainly popular with their opponents.
The Dallas Cowboys were recently voted America's favorite pro football team. With their 1-3 record, they're certainly popular with their opponents.
Next up, though, they meet another cupcake — the Minnehaha Vikings (1-3). Call it the Stupor Bowl.
The Dallas Morning News pointed out that since 1933 just 8% of teams that started 1-3 have made the playoffs. (You may recall that 1933, coincidentally enough, was Brett Favre's rookie season in the NFL.)
But the Cowboys and Vikes are in better shape for a run at the Bottom Ten title. They just can't get overconfident. Each needs to find a way to lose Sunday because they are being dogged by three winless teams, including expansion team emeritus Carolina.
