Curtis Stone heats up the TV cooking scene with his sweet and decisive demeanor, but what goes down when he hangs up his apron? From sexy starter drinks at Jones Hollywood to the world's best late-night meal (in his living room), Stone gives us the lay of his party land. Don't miss his new gig as host of "Top Chef Masters," premiering Wednesday on Bravo.

Any rituals at home before you hit the town?

I play some Jack Johnson, have a gin and tonic and a dance with my dog to get me in the mood.

Your ideal Los Angeles dinner spot and why?

There is a place called Sushi Park [8539 Sunset Blvd]. It's a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, but it has bloody great fish. I also like Osteria Mozza [6602 Melrose Ave.]. Best Italian food in L.A., in my opinion.

Favorite dive bar?

Lucy's 51 [10149 Riverside Drive] in Toluca Lake and the Varnish in downtown L.A. [118 E. 6th St.]. It's got a great speak-easy vibe.

Perfect L.A. spot for a first date?

Terroni [7605 Beverly Blvd]. It's worked for me in the past.

Best place for a late-night meal?

My living room. I like to make a panini. All you need is some decent cheese, some prosciutto and tomato. I also like Pinches Tacos [8200 W. Sunset Blvd.]. You can sit outside, and it's open until 3 a.m., which is a big deal in L.A.

Best sports bar?

Cabo Cantina in Marina del Rey [30 Washington Blvd]. It's a great sports bar on the beach.

You're a Malibu guy. What are your favorite spots there?

Malibu Seafood Co. [25653 Pacific Coast Highway] has great fish tacos and fish and chips, and it's right on the beach.

If one indulges too much on the beach, what's your favorite cup of coffee for the morning after?

Intelligentsia in Venice Beach [1331 Abbot Kinney Blvd].
