Right-hander Chris Young was put on the 15-day disabled list Saturday by the New York Mets, retroactive to Monday.

Young gave up one hit and one earned run over seven innings in a no-decision against the Washington Nationals on April 10, but he has been bothered by biceps tendinitis since then.

Bay is close to rejoining Mets

Outfielder Jason Bay, sidelined since late March because of a strained ribcage, might be ready to rejoin the Mets as early as Tuesday, Manager Terry Collins said.

Bay began a rehab assignment with Class-A St. Lucie on Saturday night.

Sizemore is about to rejoin Indians

Outfielder Grady Sizemore was back in Cleveland to run through a workout in front of the Indians' training staff and it is possible that the center fielder will be activated from the 15-day disabled list within the next couple of days.

Sizemore has been sidelined since May 16 because of a left knee injury. He had microfracture surgery on the joint in June.
