Carl Edwards wins Nationwide race in Nashville

Edwards' victory prevents Kyle Busch from pulling off the first double at the track after he dominated the Truck Series race.

Carl Edwards claimed his fifth career victory at Nashville Superspeedway, holding off Kyle Busch to win the Nashville 300.

Edwards' victory in the NASCAR Nationwide event kept Busch from pulling off the first double at the track. Busch had dominated in winning the Trucks Series race Friday night.

Nadal wins 500th match, advances to Barcelona semifinal

Rafael Nadal and fellow Spaniard David Ferrer will meet in their second final in two weeks at the Barcelona Open.

Both cruised through their semifinals, Nadal beating the only non-Spaniard in the last four, Ivan Dodig of Croatia, 6-3, 6-2, and Ferrer topping Nicolas Almagro, 6-3, 6-4.

Nadal earned his 500th career win and won his 28th straight match in Barcelona.

Wozniacki will face Goerges in Stuttgart final

Top-ranked Caroline Wozniacki beat Agnieszka Radwanska, 7-5, 6-3 to advance to the final of the Porsche Grand Prix at Stuttgart, Germany, and a shot at her fourth title of the year.

Wozniacki will play Julia Goerges, who upset last year's runner-up, Sam Stosur, 6-4, 3-6, 7-5, to play for her second career WTA title.

Simona Halep of Romania beat Kirsten Flipkens of Belgium, 7-5, 6-4, to reach the final of the Grand Prix SAR at Fez, Morocco, for the second straight year. She will play Italian Alberta Brianti after former No. 1 Dinara Safina withdrew from the second semifinal with a fever.

Atlanta's Pachulia, Orlando's Richardson suspended after fighting

The NBA suspended Atlanta's Zaza Pachulia and Orlando's Jason Richardson for Game 4 on Sunday of an increasingly testy Eastern Conference playoff series after their altercation in the closing minutes of Friday's third game.
