Update: It's been a bit of a crazy week in Carson. In a matter of five business days, the Galaxy inquired about Irish forward Robbie Keane, signed him, traded designated player Juan Pablo Angel, helped expedite Keane's visa, flew him in and had the striker training by Friday. All that work could pay dividends when the Galaxy take on struggling rival San Jose. Coach Bruce Arena said that Keane, the Irish national team's captain and all-time leading scorer, would play "some extended minutes" Saturday. Added captain Landon Donovan after Friday's practice: "If you told me he just got off a plane, at training today I'd say you're crazy." The last time these teams met, a freak injury and a red card forced the Galaxy to use midfielder Mike Magee as goalkeeper for more than a half. The Galaxy managed to frustrate the Earthquakes into a scorelesstie.
