The Atlantic hurricane season officially ended Wednesday, with a total of 19 tropical storms, seven of which became hurricanes. The 19 tropical storms represent the third-highest total since records began being kept in 1851. The average is 11, the National Oceanic and  Atmospheric Administration reports ....
