The Beverly Hills-area home of self-help guru James Arthur Ray has sold for $3.015 million.

The "Harmonic Wealth" author was sentenced last month in Arizona to two years in prison for the deaths of three clients overcome by heat during a sweat lodge ceremony. He was convicted of negligent homicide in the 2009 incident.

Ray had purchased the more than 7,000-square-foot house earlier that year for $4 million.

Bank approved for a short sale, according to the listing, the contemporary Mediterranean features a step-down living room, a gym, an office, three fireplaces, six bedrooms and five bathrooms.

Steve Frankel of Coldwell Banker's Beverly Hills North office was the listing agent, and Joshua Altman of Hilton & Hyland, represented the buyer, the Multiple Listing Service shows.
